Whistleblower policy
AB Zuid-Holland values integrity and safety and we do everything in our power to guarantee both. Unfortunately this cannot prevent things going wrong, threatening to go wrong or appearing to go wrong. Of course you can always report this to your supervisor, another supervisor, the M&O department or a member of the Management/MT team.
Report
If you want to officially report malpractice, a suspicion of malpractice or a violation or threat of violation of Union Law within AB Zuid-Holland, you can use this form.
The form works through an anonymous website where anonymity is guaranteed. The report will be handled by the (external) confidential contact person of AB Zuid-Holland. They will contact you within 7 working days to discuss the next steps.
Confidential Contact Person
The confidential contact person is available to colleagues who wish to discuss a difficult situation at work. This may have to do with bullying, discrimination, sexual harassment or aggression/violence. If you want to talk about this, you can, of course, initially always go to your supervisor or to M&O. But if you do not feel comfortable with this, you can also choose to contact one of our confidential contact persons, Sylwia or Patrick. You can contact them by phone or make an appointment to meet with them externally. The important thing is that you can tell your story in a way that feels safe for you.
Duty of confidentiality
The confidential contact person may and will only share something with another person if you have given permission. If you approach one of the confidential contact persons, you will mutually agree on how (by phone or in person) or where (location) you will speak to each other. Conversations with the confidential contact person will not be registered or recorded.
What can you expect from our confidential contact person?
Above all, that they listen to you! Especially during the first conversation it is important that you can tell your story. In a possible follow-up conversation you will look further with the confidential contact person; do you want to take steps? For example, do you want to file a complaint or talk to others? You are and remain the boss and owner of this process, the confidant will guide you through it.

Sylwia and Patrick both do the same thing as confidential contact persons. It doesn't matter who you approach with your problem. Sylwia speaks Polish in addition to Dutch, and both speak English.

These regulations also offer protection to reporters of (suspected) abuse and violations of EU law. If you are unsure about the rules, have questions about their interpretation or have suggestions for improvement of this report, please contact your supervisor, the M&O department or the (internal or external) Confidential Contact Person of our organization.
